The Fandom Snowflake Challenge: Day 8

 In your own space, create a love meme for yourself. Let people tell you how amazing and awesome and loveable you really are.

This is tough for me, but I also could really use some love this week-- it's been tough for a lot of reasons-- so feel free to say whatever you like about me or my fanworks. :) Since I know I'm new to fandom and the DW community and not a lot of people know me, here's a little bit of info. 

This is me:

 

I make podfic. Some of it is silly, some of it is erotic, some of it is inspiring, some of it is heartbreakingly sad. (none of them are longer than an hour, and the "inspiring" one is the shortest at 18 minutes if you want to give a listen). 

 

I also make all my own cover art:

I also write, very occasionally, and have one fic posted. It's PWP, fyi.

I don't know you (yet?) so I can't really describe in detail how wonderful you are (though you totally are, I'm sure of it!).

And wow, thank you for sharing a bit about yourself. Because even without really knowing you, I already know a few fabulous things about you now. Like those pics you shared of yourself? You're gorgeous and bold and that tattoo with the roses is such ... words fail, it's so damn beautiful. Also, podfics? You're wonderfully creative and generous and this is so wonderful for people who have a hard time reading or just prefer listening to stories. And just that you're doing the Snowflake Challenge as such. Because that means you're not just creative and enthusiastic about something but involved in your community and willing to contribute and reach out. In short, you're really awesome, and I'm really glad that I got the chance to say so. (Also, to look at your roses because WOW.)

Anyway, I figured that I'd use this love meme to spread positive vibes by sharing encouraging quotes because I believe that all of us have the potential to be amazing and awesome beyond our wildest dreams and worst fears. This is the quote I picked for you:

I just got it in the last few months-- first appointment was Oct 31, last was Dec 13-- so that's why it's so bright, but I think it'll be just as lovely when it fades. it's a reference/homage to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Secret Garden, and my grandmother/namesake Rose, who was an artist.

Well, now that I've seen a full body shot of you, I can definitively say that you're GORGEOUS. OMG. Like, do people just fall down and worship at your feet when you walk by? Does all of that hotness come with a warning label because, DAMN. You're making me question my sexuality over here. *fans self*

AND YOUR PODFICS. I tried listening to "The Dirty Little Things You Say" before I went to bed...MISTAKE. I was enraptured the entire time. Not everyone can read porn, but your Merlin was so perfectly sexy and his filthy mouth turned me into a puddle of goo.

And you said you just started? My first podfics sound like 50s radio: Loud, static-y, and a mess. You are on your way to podfic greatness, darling. I feel it.

Oh gosh, thank you so much! I worried when I first started recording podfic that my voice just wasn't cut out for porn (to me it sounds like I'm about 12) so I'm really glad it works well. (also, that fic is hot as hell, so I'm glad I did it some kind of justice!)

P.S. Of course I did! I actually had listened to a couple of them before we even "met", though I didn't realize it was you until this past week. I really, seriously adore your Raw Data podfic. So freaking hot. Your voice is amazing.

Don't know you but I always feel a need to leave love for podficcers! It always make me squeeful to have my fic podficced and I don't think podficcers get nearly enough love for the joy they spread. So here's some love just for that. <3 (And I have totally bookmarked your podfic to be listened to sometime when I have some time to actually focus on it.)

You also look like a fun person to know! You're cute and I love your tattoo. I admire how open you have been posting this and in your replies to comments, which also made it really easy to leave you love without feeling awkward about it so thank you for that. :)

Thank you! We do actually share a couple of fandoms, I think-- Stargate SG-1, and Lord of the Rings, and I haven't seen The Sentinel (yet) but I love stories set in that universe. But you're right regardless, I don't think we've run into each other before. /hugs back

aaaah you did sexypants! I've been listening to that and loving it but I keep forgetting to leave you feedback! I remember listening to it the first time and being all WAIT WAIT WAIT WHERE IS SHE FROM WHAT ELSE HAS SHE DONE I MUST HAVE IT ALL and there wasn't anything else and I was so sad but then I got into Welcome to Nightvale and now have a backlog of podfic for that fandom and I haven't gottent o yours yet but I'm SO EXCITED to get there because sexypants was adorable and hilarious and hot and really well done, hence why I was so sure that this couldn't be one of the two things you'd done.

Yes, there's not much yet-- I really am very new-- but I'm planning to record a LOT this year so there will be much more! As much as DW has ruled my life, I hardly read anything in that fandom, weirdly enough*. I think my main fandoms are Bandom and 1D, in terms of fanworks consumed (and Adam Lambert, but nowhere near as much as I used to). Which, I'm afraid, doesn't really narrow it down for you, there's a ton of fic to be found there ^^

I imagine your to-pod list will be filled with suggestions from all around in no time flat :)
